In the current conditions of global transformations of approaches to business activity it is especially important to develop scientific and methodological support of processes of improvement of internal systems of enterprise management, which will help to bring the state of the enterprise to the requirements of national and international markets in the areas of sustainability, competitiveness and innovation.
The staff of any company is one of the most important factors for its success. This is especially true of service providers. To the services industry, the importance of contributing to the development of the national economy is recognized worldwide by tourism enterprises.
The complexity of managing tourism businesses lies in the presence of some unpredictability of their operating environment, which requires the use of modified management methods and tools to achieve the effective functioning of staff and the enterprise as a whole.
The article investigates the peculiarities of personnel management of tourism enterprises, in particular, in the formation of scientifically sound approaches to the selection of methods and tools. The differences between the management of the personnel of tourism enterprises and enterprises of other industries are emphasized. Emphasis is placed on approaches to the classification of HRM methods and tools. The importance of improving the efficiency of personnel management, in particular, using innovative methods and tools, was noted. Emphasis is placed on the importance of working on mistakes and overcoming resistance to change by staff in a transformative management system.
As a result of the conducted researches, we will note that the main theoretical and methodological aspects of personnel management of tourism enterprises are: determination of features of personnel management of tourism enterprises in comparison with enterprises of other types of economic activity; defining approaches to the classification of methods and tools of personnel management of tourism enterprises; substantiation of features of application of innovative methods and tools; working with flaws and mistakes and preventing resistance to changes by staff as they transform the management system
