Current conditions of market economy development indicate the emergence of new unpredictable threats that arise in the development of domestic enterprises. The state plays a vital role in such conditions, as it acts as a guarantor of the safety of enterprises (business entities) due to legislative and regulatory regulation. However, the conditions created by the state to ensure the enterprise's security are not always favourable, which can be explained by identifying cases of contradictions that occur in the modern legal and regulatory framework. Given the above, the relevance of the topic of the scientific article is undeniable, and the results of the study can be of great scientific and practical value.

The article reveals the essence of the concept "enterprise security in the political and legal sphere", which means the process of identification, analysis and level assessment of enterprise security, the tendency of change and incipience of prospects as a result of thorough research basic aspects of political and legal enterprise regulation.

We revealed the critical characteristics of enterprise security and identified the subjects of activities enterprise security provision. We emphasized the critical role the state has in providing security activities enterprise. We analyzed potential obstacles that harm enterprise security and the principal directions of government enterprise security regulation. Finally, the shortcomings of the modern legal and regulatory framework of enterprise security regulation are described.

Prospects for further research in this area are to form a system of goals of economic diagnostics of the enterprise, taking into account the partial diagnostic goal in the field of law - diagnostics of enterprise security in the political and legal sphere.
