Among the main consequences of the impact on the modern world of globalization and informatization, the rapid development of information and communication technologies, one of the most interesting and complex question is the formation of an information society in which knowledge and information become key resources for national and social development. In human history, according to Thomas Davenport and Julia Corby, there have been three waves of automation according to the work done by machines. Thus, the third wave of automation rushed into the realm of mental labor. In different situations, computer systems have expanded our understanding of the possibilities of modern information technology and consumer information [1, p.10-14].Today, the developed countries of the world are following the path of purposeful legal regulation of relations in the national information space, which is determined by the jurisdiction of the respective state. To do this, the competent authorities adopt the necessary legislation, restructure the activities of public authorities responsible for the formation and implementation of information policy [2, p.117-122]. The analysis of the existing concepts of information policy allows on the basis of theoretical developments, existing practice, activities of public administration bodies, and in particular, internal affairs bodies to make a number of conclusions and recommendations related to information and legal support of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
