The provisions of the information legislation of Ukraine on the essence and classification of types of information activities are analyzed. It is emphasized that the definition in the Law of Ukraine "On National Security of Ukraine" of the basics and principles of national security and defence, goals and basic principles of state policy that will guarantee society and every citizen protection from threats has raised the issue of regulation of subject-object relations area, which has already received its new "impetus" to resolve with the approval in 2020 of the National Security Strategy. It is stated that in defining "threats to the national security of Ukraine," the legislator simultaneously means information activities and information operations. Therefore, it is assumed that information transactions are derived from the main types of information activities and/or a combination thereof, which is formed within another type or field of activity. It is concluded that it is expedient not to talk about the independence of information security in the system of subject-object relations, but on the contrary about its ability to integrate measures to ensure all areas of national security. Regulation of restrictions on the rights of citizens to information in the system of subject-object relations in the field of national security is proposed to be considered as a system of measures for the implementation of state policy in the field of national security and defence defined in Part 4. Art. 3 of the relevant Law. In the framework of further scientific research, "state information policy" as an "independent direction", which includes the construction of a subject of public administration or allocating a separate group of objects.
